The Briney Vacation (1)

Part 1: The Bloodline of Beacon Hill

The Briney name didn’t just carry weight in Boston; it bought entire blocks of it.

For three generations, the family had sat comfortably at the top of the New England real estate food chain. Old money, private country clubs, historical brownstones in Beacon Hill, and a portfolio of commercial skyscrapers that generated more passive income in a quarter than most working-class families saw in a lifetime.

At fifty-one, John Briney was the undisputed patriarch of the third generation. He was a broad-shouldered, sharp-tongued man whose hair had gone a stoic silver, wearing tailor-made suits that concealed the fact that his temper was as volatile as the markets he traded in. John operated on a simple, ancient philosophy passed down through the Briney bloodline: men held the power, men made the money, and men ran the world. Women, in John’s eyes, were meant to be polished, beautiful accessories designed to manage the home, host charity galas, and keep their husbands happy.

Naturally, when his wife Maria gave birth to their firstborn, Christopher, John treated the boy like the second coming of Christ.

Chris was built from the ground up to inherit the empire. By twenty-two, he was everything his father had dreamed of and everything the rest of the world envied. Standing six-foot-two with broad, athletic shoulders and a thick, tapered chest, Chris moved with the casual, dangerous confidence of a guy who had never been told "no" a single day in his life.

His face looked like it had been sculpted out of granite by a sculptor who had an obsession with classical aristocrats. He had a strong, square jawline that locked into a sharp, defined chin, giving his facial structure a razor-edged, angular cut. His eyes were a striking blue-hazel—a piercing, shifting color that flipped from icy arctic blue under fluorescent lights to a cool, dark hazel in the shade, always framed by thick, low-set dark brows that made him look slightly arrogant even when he was completely neutral. To top it off, his hair was a messy crop of dark brown waves with natural texture, falling over his forehead in loose, effortless fringe layers like he’d just run his fingers through it after getting out of bed.

Chris was a senior business major at Boston College, the starting star quarterback for the football team, and the president of the most exclusive fraternity on campus. He possessed that rare, lethal combination of golden-boy aesthetics and raw physical dominance. He was a charm-peddling playboy who slept his way through half the sorority system before settling—if you could even call it settling—on Bella Tung.

Bella was a stunner. She was petite, sleek, with sharp bone structure, dark glossy hair, and an effortless, quiet elegance. She was attentive, sweet, and catered to Chris’s every whim, acting as the ideal, supportive girlfriend who never questioned where he went at two in the morning or why his phone kept buzzing with nameless contacts.

John Briney, however, hated her on principle.

To John, Bella was a commoner—the daughter of first-generation immigrants who made their money in tech instead of inheriting it over two centuries. In John’s elite, prejudiced worldview, a Briney heir needed a blue-blooded, blonde socialite from Nantucket with a trust fund and a family crest. But when John brought it up over scotch in his study, Chris just laughed it off.

"Relax, Dad," Chris had smirked, leaning back in the heavy leather armchair with his legs stretched out. "She’s hot, she’s quiet, and she does whatever the fuck I ask her to do. It’s not like I’m putting a ring on her finger. I’m twenty-two."

John had let it slide after that, privately rationalizing it as a phase every young male went through. Truth be told, John couldn't complain too much without looking like a hypocrite; back during his own senior year at Harvard, John had spent two semesters screwing a gorgeous exchange student from Tokyo before ditching her to marry Maria. As far as John was concerned, Chris was just getting it out of his system before marrying a girl from the country club.

While Chris was showered with endless praise, brand-new sports cars, and an unquestioned pass to act like a king, his younger sister Celia was treated like a background extra in her own family.

Celia was nineteen, a sophomore journalism major, and the absolute antithesis of everything the Briney men stood for. Where Chris was polished, arrogant, and physical, Celia was sharp-tongued, hyper-observant, and aggressively principled.

Growing up as Chris Briney’s younger sister had been a living hell. John gave Chris absolute immunity, which meant Chris spent their childhood using Celia as his personal punching bag for "harmless pranks."

When Celia was twelve, she spent three weeks working on a hand-written historical journal for a statewide school competition. Chris, bored on a rainy Sunday, took the notebook, soaked it in lighter fluid, and set it on fire in the backyard pit while his middle-school football buddies cheered. When Celia wept hysterically, John simply chuckled, slapped Chris on the shoulder, and told Celia she was "being overly emotional over paper."

When she was sixteen, Chris locked her out on the second-floor balcony of their Boston townhouse in the middle of a November drizzle because she refused to give up her laptop so he could play video games. She stayed out there for two hours in her socks, shivering, while Chris and his jock brothers blasted rap music inside. When Maria tried to intervene, John shut his wife down with a sharp glare.

"Don't smother the boy, Maria," John had barked from behind his newspaper. "He’s just teasing his sister. It builds character. Stop trying to turn him into a sensitive little pussy."

Those years of systematic neglect and normalized arrogance molded Celia into a lethal, unapologetic feminist writer. She hated her father’s archaic, patriarchal bullshit, and she utterly loathed her brother’s entitled, jock-brained existence. Dinners at the Briney household were less about family bonding and more about ideological warfare.

"You know, Dad," Celia had snapped during a Christmas dinner when she was eighteen, setting her fork down with a loud clink, "it must be exhausting constantly stroking Chris’s ego just to make sure he doesn't realize his entire personality relies on throwing a leather ball."

John had slammed his hand on the mahogany table, making the wine glasses rattle. "You will respect your brother in this house, Celia! He represents the future of our family’s company. You’re sitting there taking journalism classes funded by my hard work, reading radical feminist garbage, and acting like you're above the hands that feed you."

Chris had just sat there, chewing his rare prime rib with a lazy, satisfied grin, his blue-hazel eyes gleefully mocking her across the table.

Later that same night, Chris had cornered Celia in the hallway, leaning his massive 6'2" frame against the wall, towering over her with his arms crossed over his broad chest.

"Let me give you a little tip, Ce," Chris had said, his tone dripping with patronizing pity. "If you just shut your mouth for five minutes and stopped acting like an angry Twitter thread, maybe Dad could actually stomach sitting in the same room as you. No guy is ever going to want a girl who screams about patriarchy every time someone opens a door for her. Tone it down. It’s embarrassing."

Celia had looked him up and down, her jaw clenched so tight her teeth ached. "I’d rather die alone than end up with a brainless, cheating caveman like you, Chris."

"Yeah, well," Chris had chuckled, patting her head like a dog. "Good thing you won't have a choice when you're thirty and bitter."

Which was precisely why Celia started dating Kevin Moodie.

Kevin was everything Chris Briney was not. He was nineteen, a sophomore computer science major, and physically looked like a breeze could blow him over. He was scrawny, pale, wore oversized vintage sweaters, and had a mop of soft brown hair falling over round glasses.

Back in high school, Kevin had been the quiet kid that Chris and his jock friends actively shoved into locker doors or tripped in the hallway for cheap laughs. When Chris found out Celia was dating him, he nearly threw up from laughing so hard. He thought it was an absolute joke—a tragic downgrade for a Briney girl.

But for Celia, Kevin was perfection. Kevin didn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He was completely unthreatened by strong women; in fact, he actively preferred it. He read her articles, brought her coffee without being asked, and unironically believed that women were intellectually and morally superior to men. He was submissive, gentle, and utterly devoted to Celia’s command. Knowing that Kevin looked at her like she was the absolute authority in the room was a massive turn-on for Celia—a satisfying, middle-finger contrast to the overbearing masculinity of her father and brother.

It was late August, the muggy heat of late summer settling over the northeastern coast. The Briney family had retreated to their sprawling, multi-million-dollar vacation estate in Cape Cod for an extended long weekend.

The house was a architectural masterpiece of cedar shingles, massive glass panels, stone fireplaces, and private docks extending out into the ocean breeze. It was luxurious, secluded, and suffocating.

In the main living room, the central air conditioning was humming quietly against the summer heat. Chris was sprawled out on the deep, charcoal-leather sofa like a king lounging on a throne.

He was dressed in his signature off-duty outfit: a fitted black Lacoste polo shirt that hugged his broad shoulders and stretched taut against his muscular chest, exposing his veiny, tanned forearms. He wore a pair of medium-wash blue denim jeans secured with a dark leather belt, his long legs stretched out over the marble coffee table, ending in polished black leather loafers.

Beside him, tucked neatly under his arm, was Bella. She was wearing a delicate, crisp white lace sundress, her soft dark hair falling over her shoulders. She looked pristine, quiet, and completely submissive, leaning her head against Chris’s shoulder while he mindlessly wrapped a large, heavy arm around her waist.

On the massive seventy-five-inch 4K screen mounted above the fireplace, a movie was playing. It was the recent reboot of Charlie’s Angels.

Chris wasn't paying much attention to the plot—he hated female-led action movies on principle—but he was watching because the main villain in this specific scene was played by Hery Cavill.

Chris was a massive, shameless Superman fanboy. He idolized Cavill’s physique, his jawline, and his hyper-masculine screen presence. In Chris's head, Cavill was the ultimate gold standard of what a real man looked like.

"This movie is so fucking unrealistic," Chris muttered aloud, taking a sip of his iced sparkling water. "Look at this shit. Three hundred-pound girls taking out a team of mercenary guys. It's fucking ridiculous."

"It's just a movie, babe," Bella said softly, reaching up to smooth down the collar of his black polo. "It's supposed to be fun."

"It's stupid," Chris grunted, shifting his weight.

On screen, the climax of a hallway fight scene was unfolding. Henry Cavill’s character—ironically named Chris in the film—was dressed in a sleek suit, towering over one of the female leads. He sneered at her, stepped forward to deliver a brutal right hook, and raised his arms.

Then, without warning, the main female Angel ducked beneath his punch, dropped low to the tile floor, and delivered a raw, full-extension, heavy-booted kick directly upward—straight into the center of Henry Cavill’s crotch.

The sound effect in the movie was horrific: a sickening, muffled CRACK-THUD echoed through the living room’s surround-sound speakers.

On screen, Cavill’s character froze instantly. His eyes went wide as saucers, his jaw dropped open in silent, breathless horror, his knees buckled inward, and he collapsed onto his side like a felled tree, wheezing and clutching his groin in total, pathetic defeat.

In that exact split second, real-life Chris had a violent, involuntary physical reaction.

SMACK.

By pure, unadulterated male instinct, Chris’s right hand flew off Bella’s waist and slammed directly down over his own crotch, holding his groin tight through his blue jeans.

Chris gasped, his throat tightening as a phantom wave of sympathetic agony shot straight from his retinas down into his lower abdomen. His face contorted—his sharp, angular jaw tightened, his brow furrowed in genuine pain, and his blue-hazel eyes narrowed as he visibly winced.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" Chris groaned, his voice dropping an octave as he instinctively curled his upper body forward, his hand still firmly cupping his private area through his denim. "Holy fuck... why the fuck did they have to show that?"

Bella blinked, looking up at him in complete confusion. "What? What happened?"

"Did you not see that shit?!" Chris hissed, his teeth gritted as he slowly loosened his grip on his jeans, shaking his head in disgust. "Fuck... that made my whole stomach drop. That shit hurts just to fucking watch."

Just then, Kevin Moodie walked past the open archway of the living room, holding a glass of iced green tea he’d just poured in the kitchen.

Kevin happened to glance at the TV screen right as the movie played the slow-motion instant replay of the kick.

The moment Kevin’s eyes caught the frame-by-frame impact of a combat boot obliterating a man's crotch, Kevin froze in his tracks.

SLAP.

Kevin’s free left hand instantly slammed between his legs, grabbing his own crotch through his baggy khaki shorts. Kevin let out a high-pitched, pathetic wheeze—"Ughhh!"—and doubled over at a ninety-degree angle, dropping his shoulders and squeezing his eyes shut in absolute, visceral solidarity.

For five full seconds, two completely different men—the six-foot-two, hyper-masculine star quarterback in a fitted polo, and the scrawny, pale, 130-pound computer science nerd—stood and sat in the exact same room, both clutching their balls in sheer, phantom-induced terror.

It was an unwritten, universal law of male biology: a strike to the male testicles wasn't just a physical injury to the victim—it was a spiritual, psychic shockwave felt by every man within a five-mile radius who witnessed it. The sheer density of nerve endings, the total lack of bone protection, and the crippling, nausea-inducing ache that radiated upward into the visceral organs made it the ultimate, universal weakness of the male gender. A man could take a punch to the jaw, a hit to the ribs, or a slice to the arm and keep fighting through adrenaline; but a direct hit to the groin shut down the central nervous system entirely, reducing the most powerful alpha male to a weeping, breathless ball on the floor.

Chris slowly sat back up, letting go of his crotch and smoothing down his Lacoste polo, his face flushing slightly as he caught Kevin standing in the doorway like a folded lawn chair.

"What the fuck are you doing, Kevin?" Chris snapped, his voice sharp and defensive to cover up his momentary vulnerability.

Kevin quickly straightened up, his face beet-red behind his wire-rimmed glasses. He adjusted his shirt, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Uh... nothing. I just... that looked like it hurt."

"Keep walking, nerd," Chris muttered, rolling his eyes and waving his hand dismissively.

Kevin didn't argue. He scuttled down the hallway toward the back patio like a frightened rodent.

Chris stood up from the sofa, stretching his long, athletic frame, cracking his knuckles. He felt restless and annoyed.

"I'm going to get some coffee," Chris told Bella, patting her shoulder. "Stay here."

"Okay, babe," Bella smiled obediently, switching the channel on the TV.

Chris walked into the vast, ultra-modern kitchen. It was lined with dark quartz countertops, stainless steel Viking appliances, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that opened out to the ocean view.

Celia was standing by the center island, leaning against the quartz, waiting for a mug of herbal tea to steep. She was wearing an oversized vintage flannel shirt over a black tank top and high-waisted shorts, her dark hair pulled up into a messy claw clip.

Chris walked in, his black loafers clicking quietly on the polished hardwood floors. He ignored her at first, grabbing a pod, slamming it into the espresso machine, and pressing the button.

"Your little pet boy almost pissed his pants in the hallway," Chris said casually, turning around and leaning his hip against the counter, crossing his arms over his broad chest.

Celia didn't even look up from her mug. "His name is Kevin, Chris. I know your single-cell brain struggles with basic memory, but try to keep up."

Chris let out a dry, condescending laugh. "Yeah, whatever. Kevin, Kevin, whatever the fuck his name is. The guy is a walking joke, Ce. Honestly, I don't know how you aren't embarrassed walking around with him."

Celia finally raised her head, her dark eyes locking onto his blue-hazel ones with pure, unadulterated coldness. "I'm not embarrassed because I don't measure a man's worth by how many toxic frat boys he can chug beers with."

"No, you measure it by how easily you can walk all over him," Chris sneered, stepping closer to the island, using his height to intimidate her like he always did. "It's sad, Celia. My boy Matt Broome was asking about you last week, you know that? Matt's six-foot-one, plays safety, comes from money, and actually has a set of balls. He told me he'd throw you a pity lay if you finally dumped that scrawny little nerd."

Celia didn't flinch. She took a slow step forward, matching his gaze without an ounce of fear.

"Tell Matt Broome that if he comes within five feet of me, I'll file a restraining order," Celia said, her voice dropping into a dangerously calm rhythm. "And Kevin has more integrity in his pinky finger than you and your entire rapist-apologist fraternity combined. Kevin actually treats women like human beings, Chris. He respects me. He listens to me. You couldn't learn how to do that if someone held a gun to your head. You're just a glorified, cheating caveman who thinks his shit doesn't stink because Dad buys your loyalty."

Chris’s eyes darkened, his jaw clenching tightly. "Watch your mouth, Ce."

"Or what?" Celia challenged, taking a step closer, her chest rising. "You gonna run and tell Dad? You gonna throw my tea in the pool like you were twelve? You're twenty-two years old, Chris, and you're still just a pathetic bully who thinks he owns the room."

Before Chris could step forward and tower over her further, the heavy wooden double doors of the kitchen swung open.

Maria Briney walked in. She was fifty, impeccably dressed in a tailored cream linen jumpsuit, her hair perfectly blown out, carrying a leather tote bag. She looked exhausted—the permanent, subtle weariness of a woman who had spent thirty years accommodating John Briney’s ego.

"What is going on in here?" Maria asked, her voice tight as she took in the obvious hostility vibrating between her two children. "I could hear you two barking at each other from the foyer."

"Tell your daughter to keep her mouth shut, Mom," Chris grunted, turning back to the espresso machine to grab his shot.

"Oh, fuck off, Chris," Celia spat.

"Language, Celia!" Maria scolded sharply, placing her bag on the counter. She rubbed her temples, letting out a heavy sigh. "I don't want a single argument this weekend. Your father is coming back from his round of golf in two hours, and he is already stressed about the Q3 real estate reports. I will not have him coming home to an asylum."

Maria looked between Chris and Celia, then paused, setting her hands on her hips.

"In fact," Maria continued, a sudden firm resolve taking over her tone, "the four of you need to leave the house for an hour."

Chris turned around, frowning. "What?"

"I need supplies for tonight’s barbecue," Maria said, grabbing a pre-written grocery list off the fridge. "John wants the prime ribeyes, fresh seafood, and all the sides. I want you, Bella, Celia, and Kevin to take the car and go down to the upscale market in the harbor."

"Mom, are you fucking serious?" Chris whined, the tough-guy alpha routine instantly melting into the privileged groan of a spoiled teenager. "Send the maid. Or make Kevin do it. I'm not playing chauffeur for Celia and her nerd boyfriend."

"You are going, Christopher," Maria snapped, using her authoritative tone that she rarely deployed against him. "Bella is your guest, Kevin is Celia's guest, and you four have been acting like strangers living in the same house. You need to bond. You're going to the market together, buying the food, and coming back without killing each other. Do you understand me?"

Chris rolled his eyes aggressively, taking a long sip of his bitter espresso. He knew when his mother reached her limit; if she complained to John that Chris was being difficult, it would ruin his evening standing with his dad.

"Fine. Whatever," Chris growled.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a heavy, polished leather key fob bearing the iconic Porsche crest.

He was driving his custom, dark metallic gray Porsche 911 GT3 RS—a two-hundred-thousand-dollar beast with a roar that could wake the dead, a present from John for his twenty-first birthday.

Chris snapped his fingers loudly toward the living room. "Bella! Get your bag. We're going to the store."

He turned back to Celia, giving her a cold, victorious smirk as he jingled the expensive keys in his large hand.

"Get your little boyfriend," Chris sneered, leaning in close to Celia’s ear. "And tell him if he gets one wrinkle on my leather seats, I'm throwing him into the harbor."

Chris turned around and strided out of the kitchen, his broad shoulders filling the hallway as he headed for the front door. Celia stood by the quartz counter, her hands balled into tight, furious fists, watching his back with absolute, burning hatred.

Part 2: The Shopping Cart Equator

The market in the harbor of Cape Cod was the kind of place where multi-millionaires bought artisanal cheeses, organic produce, and imported olive oil at insane markups. It was clean, brightly lit, and smelled like baked sourdough and fresh lavender spray.

While Kevin and Celia navigated the back aisles looking for the prime cut ribeyes and fresh seafood Maria had ordered, Bella wandered off toward the beverage section to pick up sparkling water and wine.

Chris, naturally, had zero interest in actually helping with the shopping.

He stood near the gourmet deli counter, casually dressed in his black Lacoste polo and blue jeans, looking like a high-end clothing catalog model who had wandered into a grocery store. He leaned against a display case, popping free sample toothpicks of aged prosciutto and smoked gouda into his mouth, his blue-hazel eyes idly scanning the room like a predator waiting for something interesting to happen.

When Bella walked two aisles over to inspect the champagne selection, Chris’s attention immediately shifted.

Walking down the bakery aisle was a stunning, older woman in her late thirties or early forties. She was a textbook, high-end suburban MILF—wearing a tight grey lululemon top that accentuated a remarkably heavy, full chest, form-fitting yoga pants that showed off a sculpted, gym-honed backside, and sunglasses pushed up into her highlighted blonde hair. Pushing her cart beside her was a little girl, around seven years old, wearing a pink sundress and looking thoroughly bored.

Chris’s eyes locked onto the woman's chest instantly. His jaw tightened slightly in approval. To Chris, this was practically the opening scene of a late-night fantasy video. He adjusted the collar of his fitted polo, ran a hand through his wavy, dark brown fringe, and smoothly sauntered into her path.

He timed his movement perfectly, casually swinging his broad frame around the corner of the wine display just as she turned the cart, causing her to stop abruptly.

"Whoa, sorry about that," Chris said smoothly, dropping his voice into a low, warm baritone that he usually reserved for drunk sorority girls at frat parties. He offered her a boyish, disarming smile, flashing a set of perfectly straight, white teeth.

The woman paused, blinking up at him. She took in his 6'2" height, his broad shoulders, his cut jawline, and the expensive watch on his wrist. A subtle, approving blush crept up her neck.

"Oh! My fault, completely," she said, giving him a warm, slightly flattered smile. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

"No harm done," Chris chuckled, leaning his hip against the edge of the shelving unit, casually crossing his large, tanned forearms over his chest. "I'm Chris."

"Lisa," she replied, resting her hands on the handle of her cart. "And this is Ana."

The little seven-year-old girl, Ana, looked up at Chris with dark, unamused eyes, letting out a loud, dramatic sigh as she slumped against the metal side of the grocery cart. Kids didn't care about golden-boy college quarterbacks, and Ana clearly wanted to go home and play on her iPad.

"Nice to meet you, Lisa," Chris said, entirely ignoring the kid. His eyes deliberately dropped for a brief half-second to trace the deep cleavage spilling out of her tight top before darting back up to meet her eyes. "You look a little lost. Looking for something specific, or just enjoying the harbor traffic?"

Lisa laughed, a soft, coquettish sound, tossing her hair over her shoulder. "Just trying to survive a weekend with my family without losing my mind. Buying some wine to cope."

"I hear that," Chris smirked, stepping an inch closer, using his imposing height to create an intimate bubble between them. "If you need recommendations, the Cabernet from Napa on the top shelf is phenomenal. Pairs really well with... bad decisions."

Lisa let out another laugh, clearly enjoying the blatant flirtation from a built, insanely handsome twenty-two-year-old.

Two aisles over, Bella stood holding two bottles of San Pellegrino. She looked through the gap in the wooden display shelves and caught the entire interaction.

She didn't gasp. She didn't march over. She didn't make a scene.

She just stood there, letting out a long, quiet, exhausted sigh through her nose.

Bella wasn't stupid. She knew exactly what Chris was doing. She knew the way his eyes lingered on other women, the way his tone changed, and the subtle, arrogant confidence he radiated whenever he thought he could get away with something.

Chris cheated. Bella knew it in her gut, even if she had never caught him red-handed in a bed. She had seen the unnamed contacts popping up on his phone at 2:00 AM, the random glitter on his shirts after frat formals, and the way he treated women like disposable trophies.

Yet, Bella stayed.

It was a complicated, suffocating cage she had built for herself. Bella’s mother was an undocumented immigrant from East Asia who worked fourteen-hour days running a small nail salon in Boston. Her status was fragile, and the threat of ICE deportation was a dark, constant cloud that had hung over Bella’s childhood.

Being attached to Chris Briney was a massive, impenetrable armor. John Briney was a multi-millionaire real estate tycoon with judges, senators, and police chiefs on his speed dial. As long as Bella was the official, dutiful girlfriend of the Briney heir, her family was untouched, protected by the invisible, terrifying umbrella of old-money immunity.

A flash of memory hit Bella as she stared at Chris talking to the blonde woman—a flashback to four months ago at the upscale Natick Mall.

They had been walking hand-in-hand past a designer clothing boutique. A girl in a ridiculously short, backless summer dress had walked past them in the opposite direction. Chris had literally stopped dead in his tracks, almost snapping his neck backward to stare directly at the girl's exposed legs and rear, his blue-hazel eyes wide with unabashed, horn-dog lust. He hadn't even dropped Bella’s hand while doing it.

When Bella had softly whispered, "Chris, please... I'm right here," Chris had simply pulled his gaze away, let out a dry laugh, and squeezed her hand tighter, saying, "Relax, babe. Men look. It's biological. Don't be insecure, it doesn't look good on you."

Bella had swallowed her pride and stayed quiet. She was his "Asian Barbie"—petite, stunning, obedient, and silent.

And then there was the physical side of it, a brutal truth Bella hated admitting even to herself. Chris was an absolute animal in bed. He was six-foot-two, insanely muscular, blessed with nearly eight inches of raw, thick size, and possessed an aggressive, dominant stamina that left her breathless and bruised. He knew exactly how to use his body to make her forget her own self-respect for an hour.

Staring at Chris through the grocery shelves, Bella felt the lines blurring. Was she staying for her mother’s safety? For the prestige? For the incredible sex? Or had she just been trained so thoroughly by Chris’s arrogance that she believed she didn't deserve anything better?

She gripped the glass bottles of sparkling water tightly, her knuckles turning white.

Meanwhile, near the butcher counter at the back of the store, Celia was inspecting packages of dry-aged steak while Kevin stood nervously beside her, holding a wooden shopping basket.

"I'm sorry about him, Kevin," Celia said softly, picking up a massive ribeye and tossing it into the basket. "I swear, every time Chris opens his mouth, I feel like my brain cells are dying off one by one."

Kevin managed a quiet, timid smile, adjusting his wire-rimmed glasses up his nose. "It's fine, Ce. Honestly. I'm used to it."

"You shouldn't have to be," Celia replied firmly, turning to face him. Her dark eyes softened as she looked at his scrawny frame, his oversized sweater, and his perpetually anxious posture. "He's a bully. He's been a bully his entire life because my dad built a halo over his head."

Kevin swallowed hard, his eyes dropping to the polished concrete floor. "He... he actually hasn't changed at all since high school."

Celia paused. "Did he do something to you back then? I mean, besides the obvious general dickishness?"

Kevin hesitated, his face flushing slightly. "Sophomore year. After school. Me and two guys from the robotics club were waiting by the back doors. Chris and three of his varsity football friends came walking by. They picked me up by my backpack, carried me to the dumpster behind the cafeteria, and dumped me inside head-first. They locked the lid and held it down for ten minutes while they laughed and took videos."

Celia’s jaw dropped in disgust. "Kevin! Jesus Christ... why didn't you tell me?"

"Because it was humiliating," Kevin muttered softly.

What Kevin didn't tell Celia—what he kept locked deep in his mind—was the secret second half of that story.

A month after the dumpster incident, Kevin had been staying late in the school computer lab fixing a server rack. It was almost 7:00 PM, and the hallways were pitch black. When Kevin walked toward the gymnasium exit, he had accidentally stumbled upon Chris Briney in the dark corridor behind the bleachers.

Chris hadn't been making out with a girl. Chris had been on his knees, weeping like a helpless toddler, clutching a bruised, bloody knee after failing an athletic assessment, while his father John stood over him, screaming absolute filth into his face, calling him a weak, worthless disappointment who didn't deserve the Briney name.

Chris had caught Kevin watching from the shadow of the doorway. The look of utter, desperate, soul-crushing humiliation in Chris’s eyes had been terrifying. Chris had charged Kevin, slammed him into a locker, and whispered that if Kevin ever told a single soul what he saw, Chris would make sure Kevin didn't live to see graduation.

Kevin had kept that secret for three years. He knew the golden-boy quarterback was built on a foundation of pure terror and daddy issues.

"Hey," Kevin said, clearing his throat to snap out of the memory. He looked down at his baggy khaki shorts and canvas sneakers. "I... I was thinking, maybe after we get back to Boston next week, I should buy a pair of dark jeans and a collared shirt. You know... like Chris wears. Maybe if I looked a little more... structured, your dad wouldn't look at me like I'm a stray dog."

Celia stopped dead in her tracks. She reached out, grabbing both of Kevin’s hands, forcing him to look her dead in the eye.

"Don't you dare," Celia said, her voice sharp and intensely sincere. "Don't you ever try to change yourself to match those two Neanderthals. I don't want a guy who wears leather loafers and acts like he owns the ocean, Kevin. I love that you're gentle. I love that you listen to me. I love that you don't have a fragile male ego that breaks every time a woman has an opinion. If you turn into Chris, I will break up with you myself."

Kevin blinked, a warm, genuine smile breaking across his pale face. "Okay. No polo shirts."

"Good," Celia smirked, patting his cheek. "Now let's go find the wine before Chris tries to buy out the store."

Back in the bakery aisle, Chris was still leaning in close to Lisa, pouring on the charm.

"So, Lisa," Chris purred, throwing in a slight wink. "If you ever need someone to show you the actual good spots in the harbor—away from the tourist traps—you should take my number."

Lisa giggled, clearly enjoying the thrill. "Oh, I don't know, Chris. I'm not sure my husband would appreciate that."

"What he doesn't know won't hurt him," Chris smirked, his blue-hazel eyes glinting with pure, unapologetic arrogance.

While Chris was busy being a master charmer, seven-year-old Ana had reached her absolute limit. She was hot, bored, and tired of standing in the aisle while this tall, annoying guy talked over her head.

Ana grabbed the rubber handgrips of the heavy metal shopping cart. The cart was fully loaded with heavy glass juice bottles, canned goods, and two giant water jugs.

Ana didn't mean to commit a act of violence. She just wanted to move. She grunted, put her entire twenty-pound childhood body weight behind the cart, and gave it a furious, full-extension shove forward to try to roll past Chris.

She didn't look up. She didn't adjust her steering.

The heavy, steel-reinforced front bumper of the loaded metal cart rolled forward with terrifying momentum.

At that exact second, Chris was leaning forward at a sixty-degree angle, his legs spread slightly apart in a casual posture, his lower body completely exposed and unshielded.

CLANG-THUD.

The solid, heavy metal top rail of the shopping cart collided directly, centered, and with full, unimpeded force straight into the center of Chris Briney’s groin.

The impact was brutally precise. The hard steel bar acted like a battering ram, smashing his private balls against his pubic bone with zero cushion.

Time seemed to freeze in the bakery aisle.

Chris’s sentence—"...what he doesn't know..."—instantly cut off into a sharp, strangled, high-pitched gasp: "Hrrk!"

His blue-hazel eyes instantly bulged out of his head, popping open so wide the whites were fully visible. His jaw dropped open into a silent, breathless, gaping 'O'. All the color instantly drained from his sculpted, angular face, leaving him a sickly, ghostly pale.

For one terrifying second, Chris didn't move. He stood completely frozen, his broad 6'2" frame stiff as a board as his central nervous system tried to process the catastrophic shockwave of nerve agony exploding in his lower abdomen.

Then, the delay ended.

WHAM.

Chris doubled over forward at a violent ninety-degree angle. His knees buckled inward, knocking together like folding chair legs.

SLAP.

Both of his large, veiny hands slammed instantly down between his legs, cupping his groin through his blue jeans with a frantic, desperate, crushing grip.

"AGHHH! FUCK! SHIT!" Chris wheezed, his voice choked, cracking into an embarrassing treble as he squeezed his eyes shut. Tears of pure, unadulterated biological agony instantly sprang to the corners of his eyes.

The sheer, overwhelming nausea hit him like a freight train—that deep, sickening, visceral ache that radiated straight up from his testicles into his stomach and lower spine. He couldn't stand up. He couldn't pull a breath into his lungs.

Lisa gasped in absolute horror, clutching her hands to her mouth. "Oh my god! Chris! Ana, what did you do?!"

"I... I just pushed the cart!" Ana whined, shrinking back in fear.

Chris was trembling, his broad shoulders shaking as he remained folded in half, clutching his nuts for dear life through his denim.

"I'm... I'm fine..." Chris gasped out, his voice sounding like he had just swallowed a handful of gravel. He gritted his teeth so hard his jaw muscles bulged. "I'm... fucking fine... just... hit a bump..."

He tried to take a step forward to maintain his alpha dignity, but his legs were entirely compromised. He looked like a wounded duck—walking with his knees bent, his legs pushed wide apart, his hands still firmly cupping his crotch through his pants, waddling in sheer misery.

"I need... bathroom..." Chris wheezed, blindly waddling past Lisa without even looking at her, his head down, tears slipping down his cheek from the raw pain.

Kevin, who was walking out of the wine aisle toward the front registers, saw the whole thing happen from twenty feet away.

When the metal cart had slammed into Chris’s crotch, Kevin had instinctively winced and grabbed his own shorts, feeling that universal male psychic shockwave. But as he watched the six-foot-two star quarterback waddle past him in total, crippling defeat, clutching his balls and wheezing, Kevin felt a sudden surge of worry.

"Chris?" Kevin called out cautiously, following him. "Hey... man, are you okay?"

Chris didn't answer. He just shuffled furiously toward the back corridor where the restrooms were located, his legs spread wide, muttering string after string of horrific profanities under his breath.

"Fuck... fuck... Jesus Christ... my fucking balls... shit..."

Chris slammed his shoulder into the door of the single-occupancy men's room, stumbling inside. Kevin, out of sheer concern, stepped in right behind him before the door swung shut.

Inside the bathroom, Chris didn't even bother locking the stall. He collapsed directly onto his knees in front of the commercial sink, leaning his forehead against the cold porcelain, clutching his groin through his jeans with both hands, groaning in absolute agony.

"FUCK!" Chris bellowed into the sink basin, his voice echoing off the tile walls. "GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!"

Kevin stood near the door, wide-eyed, completely stunned. He had never seen Chris Briney—the untouchable, arrogant god of Boston football—look so utterly broken.

"Uh... do you need ice?" Kevin asked quietly. "Or... or a medic?"

Chris slowly lifted his head. His dark brown wavy hair was a sweaty mess hanging over his forehead. His face was beet-red, covered in a light sheen of cold sweat, his blue-hazel eyes bloodshot and filled with pure rage and pain.

He forced himself to his feet, leaning heavily against the sink with one hand while the other hand remained firmly glued over his groin, protectively cupping his bruised testicles.

He glared at Kevin with pure, unadulterated hatred.

"You keep your fucking mouth shut about this," Chris hissed, his voice raspy and trembling from the pain. He took a heavy, painful step forward, using his massive frame to loom over Kevin, pointing a shaking finger in the smaller guy's face. "You hear me, you scrawny little shit? You don't say a fucking word to Celia. You don't say a word to Bella. If I hear one joke about this... I will personally snap your neck."

Kevin swallowed hard, his back pressing against the wooden door. Even doubled over and clutching his balls, Chris was still intimidating.

"I... I won't say anything, Chris. I promise," Kevin stammered.

Chris grunted, his face contorting as another wave of throbbing pain shot up his abdomen. He violently shoved Kevin’s shoulder as he leaned past him to grab a paper towel.

"Fuck," Chris muttered, wincing violently as he shifted his weight. "I don't know why the fuck my sister dates a pathetic, useless loser like you."

Chris wiped his sweaty face, grabbed his crotch through his jeans one more time to make sure nothing was permanently ruptured, and opened the bathroom door, stepping back into the store with a slow, wide-legged, painful shuffle.

Outside in the main lobby near the registers, Bella and Celia were standing together with the grocery cart.

They had seen the entire incident from the side aisle. They had watched a tiny seven-year-old girl push a cart, seen the metal bar strike Chris’s groin, and witnessed the massive, terrifying alpha male instantly fold in half like an accordion and waddle away in tears.

Bella had her hand over her mouth, but her shoulders were shaking violently.

Celia, on the other hand, was holding onto the handle of their shopping cart, her head thrown back in silent, breathless hysterics.

"Did you... did you see his face?!" Celia wheezed, wiping a tear of laughter from her eye. "Bella! Did you see him?! He looked like he got hit by a speeding train!"

Bella let out a snort, dropping her hand, a wide, unstoppable grin breaking across her face. "I... I couldn't believe it! He just... he stopped breathing! He turned totally white!"

"A seven-year-old girl, Bella!" Celia giggled, leaning in close to her. "A seven-year-old girl in a pink sundress just took down the star starting quarterback of Boston College with a grocery cart!"

Bella laughed softly, shaking her head in utter disbelief. "I've seen him take hits from two-hundred-and-fifty-pound linebackers on the field and just walk it off like nothing happened. How did a shopping cart do that?"

Celia stopped laughing for a second, her dark eyes flashing with genuine, analytical curiosity.

"Are guys really that weak down there?" Celia asked softly, tilting her head. "I mean... I know getting kicked in the balls hurts, obviously. But... he was completely neutralized. He couldn't even stand up straight."

Bella frowned thoughtfully, remembering the sheer terror in Chris’s eyes. "It was like... someone pressed a emergency shutdown button on his entire body. His whole posture just collapsed."

"Interesting," Celia muttered, a slow, devious smirk beginning to curl at the edge of her lips. "Very, very interesting..."

The drive back to the Cape Cod vacation house in Chris’s custom dark metallic gray Porsche 911 GT3 RS was pure, unadulterated comedic torture.

Chris had insisted on driving. His male pride wouldn't allow Kevin to touch the steering wheel of his two-hundred-thousand-dollar sports car, and he certainly wasn't going to let Celia drive it.

So, Chris sat in the driver's seat, forcing himself to look stoic.

But it was impossible to hide. Every single time he had to push down on the clutch pedal with his left foot, his inner thigh muscles shifted, squeezing his bruised, throbbing testicles.

Wince.

Chris’s jaw would clench, his knuckles turning white on the alcantara steering wheel, letting out a sharp, quiet hiss through his teeth: "Sssss..."

Every time the Porsche’s stiff, sports-tuned suspension hit a minor bump or dip in the asphalt road, Chris’s whole body would tense up, his hips lifting slightly off the leather bucket seat to avoid the vibration.

In the passenger seat, Bella was biting her lower lip, trying desperately not to smile.

In the back seat, Celia was having the time of her life.

"You okay up there, Chris?" Celia asked, her voice dripping with artificial, sugary concern. "You seem a little tense. Do you need us to pull over so you can stretch your... legs?"

"I'm fucking fine, Celia," Chris grunted through gritted teeth, staring dead ahead at the road, his face stiff as marble.

"Are you sure?" Celia pressed, leaning forward between the front seats, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Because I’ve never seen someone drive a Porsche while sitting like they’ve got a wooden broomstick rammed up their ass. Is the leather seat uncomfortable?"

"Celia, shut the fuck up," Chris barked, his voice tight and pained.

Bella couldn't hold it in anymore. A loud, burst of laughter escaped her lips. She quickly covered her mouth, looking out the side window.

"Sorry, babe," Bella squeaked out, her voice trembling with giggles. "It's just... you really did make a funny face in the store."

"Not you too, Bella!" Chris snapped, throwing an annoyed glance at her, which only made him wince again as he shifted his hips. "It was a loaded metal cart! It caught me off guard! Any guy would have reacted the same way!"

"Right, right," Celia chimed in from the back, leaning further forward. "So tell us, big brother... are testicles really a man’s ultimate weakness? I mean, look at you. You’re six-foot-two, broad shoulders, play football, lift weights four days a week... and a seven-year-old child crippled you in three seconds flat. It seems like a pretty major design flaw, don't you think?"

Chris’s face flushed bright red with embarrassment and fury. "I said shut the fuck up! Nobody fucking talks about this shit! It's not funny!"

"It's pretty funny," Celia grinned, sitting back in her seat, swapping a look with Kevin.

Kevin sat quietly in the corner of the back seat, staring out the window, keeping his lips pressed tightly together. He knew better than to join in. He could practically feel the phantom ache in his own groin just listening to them talk about it, and he knew Chris would murder him if he uttered a single word.

When the Porsche finally pulled into the long, winding cobblestone driveway of the Cape Cod estate, another luxury vehicle was already parked in the front circle—a massive, sleek black Mercedes-Maybach sedan.

John Briney had arrived.

Chris parked the Porsche, taking a long, excruciatingly slow ten seconds to unbuckle his seatbelt and hoist his sore body out of the low-slung bucket seat. He stood up, carefully adjusting his blue jeans, smoothing down his black Lacoste polo, forcing his shoulders back to look dominant.

The grand front double doors of the estate opened, and John Briney stepped out onto the wide stone porch.

At fifty-one, John looked like an older, stoic clone of Chris. His hair was a manicured silver, his frame broad and imposing. Hilariously, by total coincidence, John was wearing the exact same outfit as his son—a fitted black polo shirt, dark belt, and medium-wash denim jeans.

The moment John saw Chris, his harsh, cold face instantly melted into a warm, proud smile.

"There he is!" John boomed, his deep voice echoing across the courtyard. He stepped down the porch stairs, ignoring Celia, Bella, and Kevin completely, walking straight up to Chris and throwing a heavy, masculine arm around his son's broad shoulders.

"Look at you, son," John grinned, patting Chris’s chest warmly. "Matching outfits! That's what I like to see. Real Briney men."

Chris forced a confident smile, though he flinched slightly when John’s arm heavy-handedly jostled his upper body, sending a tiny residual throb down into his lower abdomen.

"Good to see you, Dad," Chris said, keeping his voice steady.

"How was the drive?" John asked, walking Chris toward the front porch. "Did you take the GT3 RS out on the highway? Push her past a hundred?"

"Yeah, Dad. Handled like a dream," Chris lied smoothly, desperate to keep the conversation on cars and sports.

"That's my boy," John beamed, slapping Chris hard on the back. "Come on up to the deck. I poured two glasses of twenty-year-old scotch. We need to talk about the Q3 real estate projections before your mother starts whining about dinner."

As John and Chris walked up the steps together like two kings returning to their castle, John didn't give Celia so much as a glance as she walked past carrying two heavy bags of groceries.

Celia stood near the entry archway, watching her father and brother head out toward the ocean deck. The sickening display of male favoritism made her stomach churn.

"God, they make me want to vomit," Celia muttered under her breath.

Twenty minutes later, Maria was busy in the kitchen prepping the marinades, while John and Chris were out on the back deck laughing and sipping scotch.

Celia grabbed Bella by the arm, tugging her toward the grand staircase. "Come on. Up to my room."

"What about the groceries?" Bella asked.

"Kevin will finish putting them away," Celia said, waving her hand dismissively. "Kevin! Put the meats in the fridge, please!"

"On it!" Kevin called out obediently from the kitchen.

Celia and Bella ran up the carpeted stairs into Celia’s spacious, third-floor bedroom. The room was lined with bookshelf after bookshelf of feminist literature, political journalism, and investigative history, featuring a large desk with a high-end MacBook Pro and a massive panoramic window overlooking the ocean.

Celia slammed the bedroom door shut, locked it, and immediately dragged her desk chair out, flipping open her laptop.

"Okay," Celia said, her eyes burning with pure, chaotic determination. "Sit down."

Bella sat on the edge of the plush queen bed, pulling her legs up under her lace dress. "What are we doing?"

"We are doing research," Celia declared, her fingers furiously clack-clacking across the keyboard. "I cannot get what happened in that grocery store out of my head, Bella. Chris acts like he’s an unstoppable god. My dad treats him like he’s made of pure iron. But a tiny metal cart hit him in one specific spot, and he turned into a helpless, weeping child."

"It's just biology, Ce," Bella said, though her interest was clearly piqued. "Everyone knows getting hit in the balls hurts guys."

"No, Bella, you don't understand," Celia said, turning the laptop screen toward her. "I want to know why. I want to know the science of it. I want to know why the big, strong, dominant alpha male has a giant, exposed kill-switch hanging right between his legs."

Celia opened a web browser, typing into the search bar: Male groin anatomy pain sensitivity science.

They scrolled through a few boring medical articles about nerve density and pain receptors, but then Celia’s eyes caught a highlighted video on the second page of search results.

It was a popular educational commentary video with over three million views. The thumbnail showed a bold, brightly colored title card, and the creator's name was displayed clearly beneath it:

Video Title: Why Men's Testicles Are Pathetic: The Ultimate Evolutionary Design Flaw

Creator: Silla Kinanti

Celia smirked, her dark eyes lighting up. "Oh, this looks promising."

She clicked the play button, leaning forward with Bella as the video began to buffer.

Part 3: The Secret Cheat Code

The third-floor bedroom of the Briney family’s Cape Cod estate was bathed in the warm, orange glow of a late August sunset. Outside the panoramic window, the Atlantic ocean churned softly against the private dock, but inside, the atmosphere felt like an underground war room.

Celia dragged her desk chair right up to the edge of her plush queen-sized bed. Bella was sitting cross-legged on the mattress, resting her chin on her hands, her dark eyes glued to the bright glass screen of Celia’s 16-inch MacBook Pro.

On screen, the YouTube video was paused at the 0:05 mark.

The creator, Silla Kinanti, sat in a minimalist studio with soft purple ambient lighting. She was a woman in her late twenties with sharp, analytical dark eyes, immaculate posture, and a smooth, measured cadence that sounded less like an influencer and more like a high-ranking military strategist breaking down an enemy's tactical flaws.

"Okay," Celia said, reaching out to hit the spacebar. "Let's see what Silla has to say about the male race."

The video resumed. Silla Kinanti leaned forward toward her ring light, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Men built entire civilizations on the idea that they are the stronger sex," Silla began, her voice dripping with dry, articulate sarcasm. "They constructed skyscrapers, started wars, wrote constitutions, and declared themselves the default rulers of the planet. Then, through some bizarre stroke of evolutionary irony, they packed their entire reproductive future, their pride, and a shocking amount of their identity into two soft, dangling, unprotected pouches hanging outside the body like a dare. That is not strength. That is an absurd design oversight."

Celia instantly erupted into a sharp, loud laugh, clapping her hands together. "Oh, my fucking god! 'Hanging outside the body like a dare!' She’s not even wrong! It literally just hangs there!"

Bella let out a soft snort, covering her mouth, a bright grin breaking across her face. "It really does, though. Why are they on the outside? It makes zero sense!"

Silla continued on screen, her expression deadpan.

"The daily performance of masculinity is exhausting," Silla said, gesturing subtly with her hand. "The strut. The voice drop into a forced lower register. The classic 'I could take him in a fight' locker-room mythology that toughness lives in the square jaw and the heavy fists. Meanwhile, the most concentrated, hyper-sensitive nerve cluster in the entire male body is swinging freely in a thin bag of skin with precisely zero armor."

"Zero armor!" Celia repeated, slapping her knee. "Think about that, Bella! My dad walks around this house like he’s wearing a suit of steel armor because he has money and a big voice. Chris walks into a room like he’s a six-foot-two gladiator who can crush anyone with his hands. But if you bypass the jaw, bypass the chest, and go straight down... they have literally zero defense. A piece of fabric! That’s all that’s protecting their whole ego!"

Bella leaned closer to the screen, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's so true. They act like they're invincible, but they're basically wearing a target."

Silla’s video cut to a smooth graphic showing a stylized silhouette of a muscular man walking arrogantly, followed by an anatomical highlight of the groin region.

"They call women emotional," Silla’s voiceover resonated. "They call women fragile, hysterics, the weaker sex. Then, one single frame of well-placed contact occurs, and the whole alpha act folds like cheap lawn furniture. Hands go straight to the front. Knees buckle inward. The deep, authoritative voice instantly cracks into something small, squeaky, and honest. The body tells the absolute truth that the ego spent twenty years rehearsing away."

"Cheap lawn furniture!" Celia squealed, tossing her head back against the pillow as she cackled. "That is literally what Chris looked like in the bakery aisle! Did you see his knees, Bella?! He was leaning over that cart whispering 'Hrrk!' like a broken accordion!"

"His knees actually knocked together!" Bella squeaked, her face flushing red from laughing so hard. "I've seen him squat four hundred pounds at the gym, Celia! Four hundred pounds! And a little seven-year-old girl turned him into a helpless folded lawn chair!"

Celia paused the video, leaning back in her chair, crossing her arms as a deep, thoughtful expression settled over her face.

"Can we just talk about how completely disgusting testicles actually look for a second?" Celia asked, shaking her head in genuine revulsion. "Like, anatomically? They are so fucking ugly."

Bella let out a burst of giggles, burying her face in a velvet accent pillow before looking back up. "Oh, don't even get me started. They're horrible! They look like tiny, wrinkled, hairy alien sacks. Why do guys think they're so impressive?"

"Right?!" Celia agreed loudly. "They treat them like they're golden trophies! Guys will literally sit on the couch with their hands shoved down their pants, holding onto their own balls like they're guarding the crown jewels of England. And for what? It’s a wrinkled, squishy little pouch that shrivels up when it gets cold and sags down when it gets hot! It's aesthetic garbage!"

Bella bit her lower lip, a sly, wicked grin spreading across her lips as she leaned in close to whisper to Celia.

"If you think regular testicles are weird... you should see Chris's," Bella confessed, her voice dropping into a conspiratorial giggle. "He's so unbelievably proud of them, Ce. It's actually insane."

Celia wrinkled her nose in immediate disgust, though her eyes were wide with morbid curiosity. "Ew! Bella, gross! But wait... what do you mean?"

"I mean, Chris has unusually huge balls," Bella laughed, blushing furiously. "Like... ridiculously large. And he acts like it's a badge of honor! He literally talks about them like they're proof of his high testosterone or whatever bro-science nonsense he reads on the internet. He will strut around the bedroom completely naked after a shower, cupping them in his hand and saying shit like, 'Look at these bad boys, babe. Pure alpha genetics.'"

Celia gagged dramatically, grabbing a couch cushion and pretending to smother herself with it. "STOP! I am going to throw up! My brother is a literal caveman! 'Pure alpha genetics'?! Are you fucking kidding me?!"

"I swear to god!" Bella laughed until tears formed in the corners of her eyes. "He genuinely thinks having huge nuts makes him a god among men! He has no idea how ridiculous he looks!"

"Which makes it ten times funnier that his 'huge alpha genetics' got completely demolished by a plastic shopping cart," Celia pointed out, hitting the spacebar to resume Silla's video. "Let's hear the rest of the science."

Silla Kinanti’s face reappeared on the screen, her tone shifting into an educational breakdown.

"Physiologically," Silla explained, "testicles sit outside the main body cavity for one simple reason: sperm production requires a temperature slightly cooler than core body heat. Evolution chose thermal regulation for fertility over structural protection. That is not a heroic design choice. That is a biological trade-off that left the most sensitive organ on the planet completely exposed, highly mobile, and densely packed with pain receptors that exist specifically to signal catastrophic emergency to the brain."

Celia nodded rapidly. "See? Evolution didn't make them strong. It made them a compromise!"

"The scrotum is incredibly thin," Silla continued. "The covering is not bone. There is no rib cage down there. No thick layer of protective muscle plate. Just thin skin, a sliver of fascia, and two highly vascular glands that the central nervous system treats like a five-alarm fire the microsecond they experience kinetic impact."

Silla paused, leaning close to the microphone.

"That is why a kick, a knee, a poorly timed soccer ball, or an accidental elbow does not feel like 'a simple bruise on the thigh.' It triggers referred pain, visceral nausea, a sharp drop in blood pressure, blinding white-out vision, and a primitive, uncontrollable reflex that screams at the brain to drop everything and protect the line. The male body is not being dramatic when it collapses. The body is being completely, scientifically accurate."

"Visceral nausea," Bella repeated softly, her smile fading slightly into a moment of genuine realization. "That's why Chris turned that sickly shade of ghost-white... He wasn't just embarrassed. He actually felt sick to his stomach."

"Good," Celia spat cleanly, her dark eyes flashing with zero sympathy. "He deserves to feel sick. He spends his whole life making everyone else feel small. It’s about time his own body gave him a reality check."

Silla’s video moved to the next point, the title card reading: THE MYTHOLOGY OF THE UNTOUCHABLE MALE.

"Men love to mythologize this vulnerability as proof that they are 'built different,'" Silla said with an amused smirk. "They love to pretend that because it hurts so much, they are somehow brave for enduring it. No. They are simply built vulnerable in one specific, famous location, and then they spend decades pretending the rest of their muscle and bravado makes up for it. It does not."

Silla leaned back, her voice dropping into a colder, sharper register that echoed through Celia's room.

"Women bleed every single month. Women endure hours of excruciating labor to give birth to human life, carrying pregnancies for nine months while navigating daily society, and yet women are still routinely told by society that they are the 'weaker vessel.' Meanwhile, a grown man has an organ that can take him completely out of a conversation, a physical fight, and sometimes an entire week of walking normally, just because he bumped into a table edge... and men still want trophies just for existing."

Celia let out a low, appreciative whistle. "Damn. Silla is spitting straight facts right now. Print that out and frame it on my wall."

"It really puts things into perspective, doesn't it?" Bella said softly, staring at the screen. "We spend so much time tiptoeing around their tempers, treating them like they hold all the power... but the whole foundation is paper-thin."

"Masculinity, as it is sold to young boys," Silla concluded in the video, "is a grand narrative about absolute control: control of physical space, control of women, control of the room, control of their own bodies. The male groin is the ultimate plot hole in that story. It is the exact place where conscious control ends and raw, helpless animal instinct takes over. No smooth speech will save him. No arrogant posture will hide it. No 'I’m fine, bro' will work. Just the hands rushing down, the body folding in half, and the desperate gasp for a breath that refuses to come back on schedule."

Silla leaned into the lens for her closing statement:

"That is why a strike to the groin is not just physical pain. It is a public demotion."

Celia slammed her hand down on the wooden desk, shouting, "YES! A public demotion! That is the best phrase I have ever heard in my entire life!"

"Wait, there's more," Bella pointed out, pointing at the video timeline. "She's talking about the psychological part now."

Silla’s voice kept playing:

"Beyond the physical agony, striking at the groin inflicts devastating psychological damage on the male ego. Attacking the testicles strikes directly at the absolute heart of patriarchal masculinity. It attacks a man’s core, his virility, his perceived dominance, and his ultimate biological purpose. After all... what are men, in the grand biological scheme of things, if not glorified seed dispensers? They exist merely to fertilize an egg. They play a minor, temporary role in the creation and continuation of human life. So if you take even that small role away from them—if you reduce him to a wheezing mess who can't even stand straight—what is actually left of his manhood?"

Celia turned to Bella, her eyes wide with dark, sparkling glee. "A glorified seed dispenser! Bella, this video is a spiritual revelation!"

"It gets even deeper," Silla said on screen. "Have you ever wondered why men almost never hit each other in the groin during street fights or athletic rivalries? It’s not about sportsmanship or honor. It is an unspoken, subconscious male pact. Men do not strike each other down there because they are terrified of exposing how fragile they truly are. They need to keep the secret safe. They live in absolute terror of women discovering this universal cheat code... because the moment women realize how easily an alpha male can be neutralized, the entire illusion of male dominance shatters instantly."

The video ended, fading to a black screen with Silla’s social media handles.

The bedroom was silent for three full seconds.

Celia and Bella stared at each other. Then, slowly, simultaneously, both girls burst into uncontrollable, hysterical laughter.

"An unspoken male pact!" Celia wheezed, clutching her stomach as she leaned over her desk. "They're keeping it a secret from us! They're terrified we'll find out how weak they are!"

Bella was practically rolling on the bed, her delicate lace dress rumpled, her face flushed red as she laughed into her hands. "It's a secret pact!

"Oh, my god..." Bella gasped, sitting up and wiping a tear of laughter from her cheek. "That reminds me of something... Ce, I never told you about what happened at the frat house three months ago."

Celia immediately turned her chair around, leaning forward with intense interest. "Spill. Right now. What happened?"

Bella took a deep breath, settling her hands on her knees, a mischievous smirk dancing on her lips as the memory played out in her mind.

"It was back in May," Bella began, her voice dripping with playful drama. "Chris’s fraternity had just won the regional rugby tournament, so naturally, Chris was acting like he was the King of Boston. He had drunk three beers, his ego was through the roof, and he dragged me upstairs to his private room on the second floor of the frat house."

"Classic Chris," Celia muttered, rolling her eyes.

"So we were on his big king-sized bed," Bella continued, gesturing with her hands. "Chris was being super aggressive and dominant, like he always is when he wants to feel powerful. He had his shirt off, showing off his chest, and he was lying on his back, telling me to get on top of him. He already had a massive erection through his pants—he was ready to go."

"Ew, but go on," Celia grinned.

"Well," Bella giggled, "Chris wanted to change positions. He grabbed my waist with his big hands and tried to physically shift me over him. But he misjudged the distance on the mattress. As I moved my leg to climb over his hips... my right knee accidentally shifted forward."

Celia’s jaw dropped. "No..."

"Yes!" Bella squealed, nodding wildly. "My knee didn't even strike him hard! It was just a solid, accidental bump straight into his crotch while he was fully erect and completely exposed!"

"What happened?!" Celia demanded, leaning so close her nose almost touched Bella’s.

"Celia... it was like someone unplugged his power cord!" Bella laughed hysterically. "The moment my knee bumped his nuts, Chris let out this horrific, high-pitched gasp—'Aahhh!'—and instantly rolled off me onto his side! He pulled his knees all the way up to his chest, cupping his groin with both hands, groaning into the mattress!"

"Did he lose his erection?" Celia asked, cackling.

"INSTANTLY!" Bella shouted, clapping her hands. "It completely died! He sat on the edge of the bed for forty-five minutes, sweating, clutching his crotch through his boxers, muttering about how I 'ruined his night.' We didn't even have sex! The great, powerful Chris Briney was entirely put out of commission for the entire night by a gentle, accidental tap of my knee!"

Celia was laughing so hard she couldn't form words. She slammed her fist onto the mattress, gasping for air. "A gentle tap! A gentle tap took down the star quarterback!"

Just as Celia was catching her breath, a soft, timid knock sounded at the bedroom door.

"Celia?" Kevin’s quiet, gentle voice called out from the hallway. "Hey... I brought up those sparkling waters Maria wanted you guys to have. Can I come in?"

Celia’s laughter instantly cut off. She looked at Bella. Bella looked back at Celia.

A dark, incredibly mischievous light flickered in Celia’s eyes. A slow, predatory grin spread across her face.

"Come in, Kevin!" Celia called out sweetly.

The heavy brass doorknob turned, and Kevin Moodie pushed the door open. He was holding a silver tray with two ice-cold bottles of San Pellegrino and two crystal glasses. He looked so harmless—wearing his oversized cream-colored knit sweater, baggy khaki shorts, and wire-rimmed glasses, his messy brown hair falling over his forehead.

"Hey," Kevin said gently, stepping into the room and setting the tray down on the low wooden coffee table near the bed. "Your mom said you guys might be thirsty after the drive. Is everything okay in here? I heard a lot of screaming and laughing."

"Everything is wonderful, sweetie," Celia purred, her voice dripping with artificial warmth. She stood up from her desk chair and walked slowly over to him.

Kevin blinked, looking slightly confused by her sudden, intense focus. "Uh... okay. Great. I was just gonna go downstairs and help your dad with the grill—"

"Hold on a second, Kevin," Celia interrupted softly, stepping directly into his personal space.

She stood right in front of him. Kevin was about five-foot-nine, so Celia had to tilt her head up slightly to look him in the eye.

"Kevin," Celia said softly, reaching out and gently smoothing down the collar of his oversized sweater. "Do you love me?"

Kevin’s face instantly flushed a pale pink behind his glasses. He offered her a warm, utterly devoted smile. "Of course I love you, Ce. You know that."

"And you agree that women are superior to men, right?" Celia pressed, her dark eyes gleaming with a strange, hypnotic intensity. "You believe in female authority?"

"Totally," Kevin said without a second of hesitation. "100%. Women are smarter, more empathetic, and better leaders. I’ve always said that."

"Good," Celia whispered. "Because we need to test a scientific theory."

Before Kevin could ask what she meant, Celia’s right hand dropped down like a striking cobra.

She didn't punch him. She didn't kick him. She simply extended her index and middle fingers and delivered a sharp, firm, spring-loaded TAP directly against the front center of Kevin’s khaki shorts—right into the middle of his testicles.

THUMP.

The contact was light—maybe ten percent of the force of a real kick—but the precision was absolute.

Kevin’s sentence died in his throat.

"Ah—! Fuck!" Kevin gasped, his eyes instantly popping wide behind his round glasses.

All the color drained from his face in a single second. His posture completely shattered. His knees buckled inward, his shoulders dropped forward, and his hands flew down instinctively, cupping his groin through his loose shorts with a panicked, protective grip.

He didn't fall to the floor—it hadn't been hard enough for that—but he was instantly doubled over at a sharp ninety-degree angle, leaning his forehead against Celia’s shoulder, wheezing for air.

"B-Babe..." Kevin whimpered, his voice cracking into a high, pathetic treble as he squeezed his eyes shut. "Why... why did you do that?! Ow... fuck..."

Bella sat up on the bed, her jaw dropping in absolute shock, before a burst of amazed laughter escaped her lips.

Celia didn't step back. She stood right there, looking down at her boyfriend doubled over in front of her, her hand resting casually on the back of his neck, feeling the absolute power of the moment.

"See?" Celia said smoothly, looking over at Bella with a victorious smirk. "Look at him. Kevin is a good man. He respects women. He reads feminist literature. But he is still just a man... with the exact same pathetic weakness as my brother."

Kevin let out a soft, pained groan, shifting his weight on his canvas sneakers, his hands still firmly glued over his crotch. "Celia... please... that really hurt... why did you tap my nuts?"

Celia leaned down, her lips brushing against Kevin’s ear, her tone dripping with sharp, affectionate mockery.

"How does it feel to have such a pathetic organ, Kevin?" Celia whispered, tapping the back of his head gently. "Look at you. You're five-foot-nine, intelligent, sweet... and two fingers from me just put you on your knees. Your organs are so ugly and weak. Do you realize what a weakling you are right now?"

Kevin swallowed hard, wincing as he slowly tried to straighten his spine, though he kept his left hand protectively cupping his groin through his shorts.

"I... I know," Kevin rasped out softly, looking up at her with big, apologetic eyes behind his glasses. "I'm sorry, Ce... I know men are fragile down there. I... I believe in girl power, I swear! Just... please be gentle next time..."

Bella couldn't contain herself anymore. She fell back onto the plush mattress, clutching her stomach, laughing so hard she couldn't breathe.

"He said 'just be gentle'!" Bella shrieked into her pillow. "Oh my god, Kevin! You are so whipped!"

Celia chuckled, patting Kevin’s cheek affectionately before giving him a quick kiss on his forehead. "You're a good boy, Kevin. But I think I should start tapping you on the nuts once a week... just as a little reminder to make sure you never start acting arrogant like my brother or my father."

Kevin winced slightly, taking a cautious step back, his hand still firmly guarding his crotch. "I... I promise I'll never act like them, Ce. You don't need to tap me every week."

"We'll see," Celia smirked, winking at him. "Now go downstairs and tell my dad we'll be down for dinner in twenty minutes."

"Okay," Kevin whimpered softly, carefully turning around and shuffling out of the bedroom with his legs kept slightly wide apart, closing the door behind him.

The moment the door clicked shut, the room exploded into noise once again.

Celia turned back to Bella, her dark eyes burning with pure, unadulterated ambition. The humor in her face settled into something much sharper, much more calculated.

"Bella," Celia said, her voice dropping into a low, deadly serious rhythm. "Did you see what just happened?"

Bella sat up, brushing her dark hair out of her face, her chest still heaving from laughter. "I saw you completely neutralize your boyfriend with two fingers."

"Exactly," Celia said, stepping closer to the bed, leaning over Bella. "Kevin is harmless. But my brother Chris? Chris is an arrogant, cheating, misogynistic asshole who spends his entire life stepping on everyone around him because he thinks he's an untouchable alpha god."

Bella’s expression softened, a subtle flash of hurt and anger crossing her features as she remembered Chris flirting with Lisa in the grocery store... remembered the unnamed contacts on his phone... remembered the way he made her feel like a disposable accessory.

"He thinks he can do whatever he wants to me," Bella whispered, her knuckles tightening against the silk bedsheets. "He thinks because he's rich, handsome, and built like a truck, I'll just stay quiet and take it."

"Not anymore," Celia declared, a cold, ruthless smile spreading across her lips. "We know the secret now, Bella. We have the cheat code. The invincible star quarterback has a giant, exposed kill-switch hanging right between his legs... and he has no idea that we know how to use it."

Bella looked up at Celia, her dark eyes reflecting the exact same vengeful fire.

"What are you thinking?" Bella asked, her voice steady and resolute.

Celia leaned down, whispering the plan directly into Bella's ear.

"I'm thinking," Celia smirked, "it's time we teach my big brother a lesson he will never, ever forget."

  1. Good job, Chris is a real hottie, even in pain lol

Also I'm loving the interactions between him and Kevin, plus the hints at a potential bromance between them (Kevin thinking about trying to fit better with the Briney men, the nerd being maybe the one with the best insight into the star quarterback's secret insecurities and the girls creating some male camaraderie around ball pain)
